She was a vampiress in a graveyard. How much more cliche could this get? Not much, for she was merely sitting atop a gravestone, sighing to herself as she thought. Thinking was what she'd been doing since the sun had gone down, giving her heed to come out of hiding from the wretched sun that caused her pain to even look at. The eyes of the young-looking woman opened, revealing their striking blue-green color. Tugging her long, leather jacket tighter around herself, she covered more of her bare midriff.
Her torso was simply adorned in a snug black lace-up corset. Over this, once again, was her black leather jacket. Long legs were covered in simple jean material as she was wearing a pair of low-rise hip-huggers. The legs of the jeans flared out over spike-heeled round-toed boots. Getting to her feet, Antoinette linked the five silver hooks at the front of her jacket, closing it to the wind. Now that she was standing up, the jacket was seen to reach her legs at mid-calf.
Raising a pale hand to her hair, she tucked some of the curly black locks behind her ear. Moving away from the headstone she'd been earlier sitting on, silent steps made their way across the soft ground. The moonlight shone on her glossy black hair as she made her way out from under the tree where the headstone had been placed.
What exactly had drawn her here? Why had she decided to come here when she had none of her kin buried here? Was it purely just to think? Things happened for reasons. Fates rested in the doings of the simplest happenings, movements, deaths, and changes in the world. At least those were the thoughts of this young woman. Turning her gaze to the stars, Anni - what the girl went by - closed her eyes once more after spotting a shooting star, and then made a wish.
Yes, it may have been child's play, but she liked to believe in wishes coming true. Didn't everyone? She bit down on her bottom lip as she smiled, thinking how silly it would seem to others if they knew she wished upon shooting stars. Glancing about she turned and started walking toward the road which looped around inside of the cemetery. She might has well walk around and explore while she could. Maybe see if she recognized any names of the deceased, though this was highly unlikely.

Silent remembrance. Yes, in a cemetery, that was bound to happen eventually. Though, the one that Micheal was mourning, was not buried here. Over three hundred years had passed since it happened, but he could still remember it clear as day. The vampire shivered, and looked up pausing, his icy green eyes closed slowly. Though in his heart, that space was now empty, the pain had gone numb. She was gone, no way he could change that, no way to go back, and stop it. At least the sorrow had left him, though many thought he was still odd. Quiet, rarely speaking, though kind, usually too nice for his own good.
Taking a deep breath, Micheal's green orbs opened again, to stared blankly into the on-going distance. Now he asked himself the very same question the other had, why was he here? Not to mourn, not to cause harm, just to be somewhere. Seeing as he gave his apartment so some young, homeless girl he had bitten in his moment of weakness. Thus, leaving him to the streets, with only himself and his canine companion. That was okay though, because these were the way things had been for a long time, and the way he had grown used to.
The blood red pelted wolf beside Micheal yawned and looked around. Though Dakota had taken it upon herself to watch over and protect the vampire, he knew the creature as his closest friend. Many found this almost sad, that this boy was lonely, and turned to a wolf for company. This was wrong, Micheal had isolated himself for a reason, tried not to get too close to others for his own reasons, ones he wasn't afraid to admit.
That was one of the many things that had changed since he left Rome. Hard to believe this quiet, and tender young man was once considered the master of manipulation, and held quite a bit of power, money-wise. Now these things didn't matter, that was the past, he was in the present, and obviously not ready to look to the future just yet. So, he'd gone from feared, and loved, to unable to scare a kitten with those pale, tired features.
This was the way things were, and Micheal wasn't trying to change them. No, he couldn't say he was happy with things the way they were, but he had no way to change it, so had no reason to complain pointlessly. Pausing, he looked over, and stroked Dakota's head gently, as his dark blue cloak swayed in the breeze. This was life, live it, or leave it.

Slipping her hands into her pockets, Anni tore her gaze from the sky and let it rest upon the pavement she stepped lightly on as she walked. The slight breeze chilled her to the bone, but it was refreshing in a way. Inhaling deeply, she closed her eyes and held her breath a moment before exhaling; feeling all of her troubles melt away. If only they would now stay away.
As she rounded a bend in the road, she lifted her gaze upon feeling another presence near. She slowed her pace and kept a sharp look-out for who might be wandering around at this hour besides herself. If it were a human, they'd have naught to fear for she'd had her meal just the night before. But, then again, the presence surely didn't feel human. It was indeed much more powerful. Now to find whether it be friend or foe?
She continued on her way, soon coming out of the bend in the road, her gaze settling on the young man and his wolf companion. Halting, she merely took them in, eyes gliding over the visible features of the two who had joined her in the cemetery. Feeling a tickle on her nose, she pulled her hair back into a ponytail at the base of her neck - with the hair tie she'd pulled off of her wrist, dropping her hands to her sides once again.

Kota's gaze turned, as the scent of another came to her. Tilting her head, she gave her master a soft whine, of warning. Green eyes blinked and lifted upon hearing the wolf's note. Micheal looked up to see what she had sensed before he had a chance. Pausing he studied the young girl slowly, trying to memorize this person. He often attempted to remember those he had met before, though he had rarely run into them again. The vampire coughed lightly, and sighed, giving a weak smile, trying to show, he meant no, harm, and probably couldn't if he wanted to.
"...Oh... sorry if we disturbed you..."
Micheal spoke quietly, though loud enough for the other to hear. The wolf at his side stayed still, trying to learn if this female was a threat to her master in anyway. For now she'd stay on edge, watching this vampire carefully. Looking down, Micheal couldn't help but wonder, why this girl was here, what pain she'd endured. Shaking his head, the vampire sighed. Old habits die hard, that was true for this aspect of Micheal.
He himself, had known of many kinds of pain, that of losing a love, watching her breath fall in your arms, the pain of losing a sister, and never knowing her fate, the pain of silver being forced in your veins. Though these things were the past, and he tried not to allow them to bother him anymore.

"No...You're no disturbance to me at all. I'm just strolling around....it's a get some fresh air type thing." Anni's tone of voice was no louder than Michael's, though she had no reason to be so hushed. Crossing her arms in front of herself, she stepped forward, offering a somewhat toothy, but friendly grin. Of course she meant no harm; she was a harmless person. Harmed, yes, but not harmful.
Pain was scarce in her past, for she'd gone only through the loss of her family and being driven away from the home she had so loved. Hiding away from most others is what she did. It kept her safe, but naive to changing world around her. Of course she followed along with the clothing style as the decades passed and kept up enough to appear somewhat normal to society - though being a night walker was not so normal. Then again, there were others who walked through the night like herself, so it didn't worry her much about being found out.
"What brings you here tonight?" The girl questioned this before gently biting down on her lip as she awaited a response. She glanced a little nervously at the wolf by his side once again. It wasn't that she didn't like animals, but dogs, and canines in general, had a tendency to intimidate her. She could tolerate being around them, but she kept her distance from them nonetheless. She knew they were strong animals and as a child had gained a couple reminders of how fierce they could get. Now, even though in all her strength, she still feared them a little.
